I,m thinking about buying a used kayak for bass fishing on the river.I,ve recently started doing this and I have to say ,it,s addicting.I have a 16′ canoe that I,m using now and I will paddle it about 2 to 3 miles upstream and fish my way back.My success has been terrific catching a minimum of twenty bass both spotted and largemouth.I don,t mind the paddling because it is great exercise but it really cuts into my fishing time and I can only go so far to make it back in time.Is a kayak going to be much faster?I,m looking a a 15′ ocean kayak but I,m not sure if this is what I really need.I,m concerned with the size.Is it to big or should I look into something smaller.I need enough room to keep some fish alive in a cooler and have storage for tackle and extra clothes drink cooler etc.I would like to throw it in the back of my truck and carry it that way without buying a trailer.Any advice would be appreciated.

I live in southern Ontario and would like to know where to go to buy a fishing kayak and some suggestions. I’ll be fishing freshwater lakes and rivers only. I usually target bass, walleye or pike. Price range is about $500-$700.

Ok, here is an overview. I want a kayak that a novice like me can handle but isn’t counted as a “newb” ‘yak. I want something that I can fish in the local bays and bayous. I live in Maryland and iam looking for a good fishing kayak I would like to find a two seater but would be happy with a one seater I won’t have to worry about catching a humongous fish I will stay in the Chesapeake and its rivers I want one that could hold a tackle box and bait and it would be nice for rod holders in it but not super importantand I would also one that moves pretty well through the water I don’t have to worry about any big waves either. The cheaper the better I won’t pay over 700 uless its really worth it and preferibly one from bass pro. Please list its name and price. Thanks

I am 13 and looking for a cheap fishing kayak my price limit is about $650 and i would like at least 1 rod holder a tank to put caught fish in and a paddle.(and i dont want to get very wet)
